A picture of our pond in spring 2005:
The pond has a total volume of 55.000 liters of water. The filtration system consists of 3 Vortex chambers of which 2 a filled with Japanese matting each Vortex containing 1800 liters of water. Dimensions of the pond are 7 x 3.5 x 1.8 meters. The filter chamber is covered with a Bankirai decking. The construction was done in 2003.

(This beautiful tree is a Ilex Crenata Kinme. The tree is about 1.9 meters high, 15 -20 years old and cut as a Bonsai)

A picture of our pond in the winter:
The pond is covered with the roof of a party tent. The filtration system is running and the water temperature is + 8 degrees Celsius and controlled by a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is connected to the central heating of our house. Outside temperatures can drop in the winter to - 16 in Luxembourg.
